Changes is our low barrier, rapid rehousing independent living program that supports youth ages 16 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness to secure and maintain safe and stable housing in Multnomah, Washington and/or Clackamas counties. Changes helps youth to identify unique housing goals, provides financial support and supports youth in developing skills and resources necessary to independently maintain housing into adulthood.

Changes is a program designed to provide basic financial and case management support to young adults who do not have a stable place to live but are ready to live independently and cannot afford the initial move-in costs of an apartment. Applicants must be able to pay their own rent, be between the ages of 16 and 24, have completed or are near completion of their basic education, have demonstrated the ability to maintain an income and meet expenses, and be self motivated. Services of the program include; apartment search assistance, financial assistance with full or partial move-in costs, access to getting free gently-used furniture (after move-in), and case management support for 6 months after move in. *The Changes Program does not provide rent or provide subsidized housing.
